Unlike Crazy Horse there statues were completed on time.

Hey, I've been there! I think they just ran out of money.

Besides, it was said he didn't like his picture taken, supposedly because he feared it would capture his spirit. I'm sure it would have ticked him off to have a statue. Maybe it's a metaphysical thing.

By any chance is this a national monument of four prominent men on the spectrum?

It could be, but I wouldn't know about that. There is guess that Jefferson was. Lincoln was manic-depressive. But not the answer, no.

I'm not going to push it. I'll tell y'all the truth. They were all homeschooled, whether by their parents, I'm not sure. I doubt it!

They were all men, they were all white, they were all Americans, none of them drove a Land Rover... you tell me :)

well I have this much in common with Washington and Lincoln at least, there is a place name in England that bears my surname.

Oh, really? There's a Laurentius, UK?? :)

My son wants to live in England, have his ashes buried at Abbey Road. At least for now.

Wow, maybe this means my son has a shot at being president one day? How cool would *that* be to have a president using an aug-com device? Hmm...

Ok, we're quite a long ways off from that on all fronts, I suppose.

Besides all having once been President of the United States?

You got me. And I just came back from there.

I learned it at the homeschool meeting. It helped me feel a little better about it, because I never dreamed in a million years I would be doing it....
